PROJECT DESCRIPTION

I created a 24 page city guide of Seattle, The Party Kids Guide to Seattle. I wanted to focus on sharing Seattle's unique (some may say weird) personality. I wanted to share a different more grunge /punk perspective, while still highlighting the more traditionally known aspects of Seattle culture. Also incorporating some of my personal style through the illustrations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

I was asked to redesign a book cover using the Gestalt design principle of figure ground. Several different iterations culminated in a final version that highlights the two worlds of the Emerald City: the structures that make up the landscape and the people who create the culture.

Additional iterations below incorporate iconic imagery from the storyline. I also was focused on increasing legibility for greater accessibility.
